Shkencëtarët në Zelandën e Re thonë se vrima në shtresën e ozonit mbi Antarktik po ngushtohet dhe ka arritur në madhësinë e saj më të vogël në pesë vitet e fundit.

Shkencëtari për atmosferë, Stiven Vud, tha se kjo paralajmëron se nismat ndërkombëtare, siç është ajo e Protokolit të Montrealit, në vitin 1978, ndoshta po funksionojnë
